Summer is over (unfortunately), and the new season brings a breeze of freshness into Kontentino. 🌬️
To be more specific – we've implemented a series of enhancements that will positively impact our Calendar. 🗓️
In our continuous effort to make your experience in Kontentino even more seamless and enjoyable, we've elevated the overall quality of the Calendar. This involved refining user navigation, giving the interface a sleek makeover, and repositioning several buttons for improved usability.
The new version of the Calendar will be launched on September 28, 2023.
This article will thoroughly explain all the changes, so let's jump into it. 👇
1. NEW POSTS SIDE PANEL 🆕
First and foremost, let's dive into the most significant Calendar update: the introduction of the new Side Panel, designed to provide you with a comprehensive content overview.
This versatile Side Panel can be effortlessly expanded or collapsed, depending on your preferences. A simple button click is all it takes, regardless of your chosen viewing mode.
When open, the Side Panel empowers you with several actions, including:
Comprehensive Post View: Gain insight into all planned posts, complete with previews, labels, scheduled times and dates, and their current status.
Effortless Search: Quickly locate a post based on its caption, streamlining your content management.
Intuitive Drag and Drop: Seamlessly move a post from the Side Panel to a specific date, simplifying content scheduling across various Views (excluding Board, coming soon).
🌶️ Hot tip: Use the drag and drop action to easily change the date of your post by simply placing it from the Side panel into a different date in the Calendar. The drag and drop is especially beneficial for the Post Ideas feature. See 👇🏻
Post Ideas section: We've relocated the Post Ideas feature from the right side of the screen to the Side Panel, making it easily accessible in all views.
💡 Post Ideas is a great feature for crafting a post without the need to allocate it a specific date. You can store your ideas/posts in a separate 'Ideas' section, collaborate with your team, and approve them. When ready, simply drag and drop the idea into the Calendar, assigning it a specific time.
🌶️ Hot tip: The 'Ideas' section can also be used for recurring posts and serve as an inventory of your posts. Easily transfer them to your Calendar by holding down the 'Option' key while dragging and dropping. This action duplicates the post, preserving it in the 'Ideas' section while seamlessly placing it on your Calendar. This simplifies your workflow, sparing you the need for manual duplication or creating posts from scratch.
The feature is now available in Calendar, List, and Grid view. In the near future, they will also be added to the Board view.
2. WHAT WENT WHERE 🤔
First of all, we need to point out that no buttons or features have been removed. We have only relocated a couple of them in order to create a better user environment.
The repositioned buttons are:
1. Time savers:
moved to the right upper side
2. Budget and Labels:
are now displayed above the Calendar on the right side
3. Today button:
now located next to the date picker on the left side
4. Filters:
are in the same position but now displayed as an icon
5. New "More" button:
We have added a new "More" button (displayed by a three-dot icon), where you can find the Export and Sort buttons, with an option to show previews.
3. OTHER CHANGES ✍️
Workflow view has been renamed to a Board view.
The order of Posts views has been changed to Calendar (default) - List - Board - Grid.
However, this is just the beginning of all the Calendar-related updates. We have a series of improvements in our pipeline that will be gradually rolled out over the next few months. 🎉
