πŸ‘₯ We've introduced a new Shared Access Token feature – it enables simplified and more reliable access to connected social media pages.

With this enhancement, only one admin is enough to connect a page, and this access can be shared seamlessly with other team members (Admins and Managers).

Key Benefits

  • Simplified Access Management
Only one admin needs to connect a page. Other team members no longer need individual access credentials granted by the admin or client.

  • Improved Reliability
Shared tokens reduce the likelihood of disconnections and failed posts, ensuring stable publishing and scheduling.

  • Team Collaboration
Access is shared within Kontentino, so managers can schedule and publish content even if they don’t have admin rights on the social media platform.

πŸ’‘Pro tip: Is your team planning your LinkedIn social media content? No more worrying about privacy and sharing your passwords. Use the shareable token to allow your collaborators in Kontentino to create and schedule content for you while maintaining full control of your privacy.

How It Works

  1. An Admin/Manager with role/permissions on the social platform's profile connects this social media profile using their credentials.

  2. In Kontentino's Authorization settings, the sharing of the generated Shared Access Token for the connected profile/s per respective platform is switched on.

If a token is shared with you by other user/s, you'll see a tooltip and the name of the person sharing the token:

  3. This token is distributed internally within Kontentino, allowing all Admins and Managers assigned to the profile/s on the team to:

    • Schedule posts

    • Publish content

  4. No action is required from additional users or clients once the token is shared.

To switch off the token sharing, the user can easily use the toggle switch for that:

ℹ️ Token-sharing is optional; however, we recommend it to ensure a smooth scheduling and publishing process, minimize the friction in team workflows, and reduce client dependency when working with connected social media pages in Kontentino.

Limitations

  • Analytics Access: Viewing or exporting analytics data still requires platform-level admin rights. This is a temporary limitation and may change in future updates.
