To successfully connect your X (formerly Twitter) account to a Kontentino, ensure that:β¨
β Your account has the necessary permissions to connect third-party apps.β¨
β You have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) disabled (if connection fails).β¨
β You have authorized permissions for the X API.
πΉ Step 1: Check Your Account Permissions
Go to Twitter.com and log in.β¨
Click on your profile picture (top-left corner) and go to Settings and privacy.β¨
Navigate to Security and account access β Apps and sessions.β¨
Under Connected apps, check if you have already granted permissions to third-party apps.β¨
If you see the Kontentino product listed but still have issues, try revoking the access and reconnecting it.
β Ensure your account is not restricted or flagged, as this may block API access.
πΉ Step 2: Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) If Necessary
Some third-party integrations may fail if Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is enabled. To check:β¨
Go to Settings and privacy β Security and account access β Security.β¨
If Two-Factor Authentication is enabled, try temporarily disabling it.β¨
Attempt to connect your X account again.
β You can re-enable 2FA after successfully connecting.
πΉ Step 3: Ensure You Have API Access & Developer Mode Is Not Blocking Connection
If you use X Premium or have a developer account, some API settings may interfere with third-party connections.β¨
Go to Developer settings (if applicable) and check your App permissions.β¨
Ensure your account allows third-party integrations.
πΉ Step 4: Try Connecting Again
Enable pop-ups in your browser (Twitter/X login may require them).β¨
Clear cache & cookies to prevent login issues.β¨
Log out and log back into X (Twitter).β¨
Try connecting X again in Kontentino.
