💡 Kontentino gives you full flexibility when it comes to managing your subscription. Whether you want to switch your billing cycle, upgrade to a higher plan, or adjust your current setup, you can easily make these changes in just a few clicks from your Billing Dashboard.
Can I change my billing cycle in Kontentino?
Yes, you can switch your billing cycle from monthly to annual (or vice versa) anytime in Settings → Billing Dashboard → Edit Subscription.
- If you switch from monthly to annual, the yearly billing starts once your current monthly cycle ends. 
- If you switch from annual to monthly, the change will only take effect after your 12-month billing cycle ends.

Can I upgrade my Kontentino plan during the billing cycle?
Yes! You can upgrade anytime, whether you’re on a monthly or annual plan. To upgrade, simply go to your Billing Dashboard, adjust the number of seats or profiles, and select the plan you’d like.
If you need a custom offer (such as the Unlimited tier), contact us directly at sales@kontentino.com.
When you upgrade, you only pay the prorated difference until the end of your current billing cycle - not the full cost of a new subscription.
Example:
You started your annual subscription on January 1 with the Starter+ plan for 5 users and 10 profiles, paying €948/year (excl. VAT). Six months later, you upgrade to the Standard plan for 10 users and 40 profiles, which costs €1,308/year (excl. VAT).
- Starter+ plan: €948/year → €79/month 
- Standard plan: €1,308/year → €109/month 
- Difference: €30/month 
- Remaining months: 6 → €180 prorated payment 
This ensures you only pay fairly for the time you use the upgraded plan.
Can I downgrade my Kontentino plan during the billing cycle?
Downgrades are only applied at the end of your current billing cycle:
- For annual plans, the downgrade takes effect once your 12-month contract ends. 
- For monthly plans, it applies at the end of your current month’s billing cycle.

Can I add or remove the Analytics & Reporting module during the billing cycle?
Yes! The same rules that apply to upgrading or downgrading your plan also apply to adding or removing the Analytics & Reporting module:
- If you purchase the add-on mid-cycle, you’ll only pay the prorated difference of the module's price until the end of your current billing period. 
- If you decide to remove the module, simply unselect it anytime in your Billing dashboard. You’ll keep access until the end of your current billing cycle, and future invoices will no longer include the module. Access will end when your next billing cycle begins. 
To manage the module, go to Settings → Billing dashboard → “I’m okay with my package, move to Add-ons.”
Then, select to add or unselect to remove the Analytics & Reporting and click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
If you don't want to make any other adjustments to your subscription, hit "Confirm order".
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan by just one user (or one profile)?
Upgrades and downgrades can only be made between the subscription plans listed on our Pricing page.
Changing the number of users
We don’t offer custom adjustments of plans - meaning you can’t upgrade or downgrade your plan by one, two, three, or four users (except for the Custom plan, which supports 30+ users).
All standard Kontentino plans are structured in increments of 5 users, with team sizes of 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 users.
The only exception is when switching between Starter (3 users) and Starter+ (5 users), where the difference is 2 users.
Changing the number of profiles
Similarly, we don’t provide one-off adjustments for social media profiles (again, except for the Custom plan with 40+ profiles).
- Starter and Starter+ plans include up to 10 profiles. 
- If you need to manage more, upgrade to the Standard plan, which allows up to 40 profiles.
