If you already have content planned elsewhere, you don’t need to start from scratch. With CSV import, you can move 50+ ideas from a brainstorm sheet to the social calendar in under 30 seconds.
📥 Import posts from a CSV file
Kontentino’s new CSV import focuses on the content core and lets you upload text-only posts in bulk. Each row in your file becomes a post or post idea in Kontentino, depending on the data you provide.
This is especially useful when:
Migrating from another social media management tool
Uploading campaign drafts in bulk
Importing content or content ideas prepared outside Kontentino
🧭 How to import posts from a CSV file
Select a single social media profile you wish to import the posts to (the CSV import is not available when multiple profiles or a profile group are selected in the Profile selector)
Click the three dots (additional items menu) in the top-right corner of the Calendar
Select Import posts
Choose CSV
Upload your CSV file
In the import window, you can download a ready-made template by clicking Download CSV template.
Once your CSV file is ready:
Upload it by browsing your device or
Drag and drop it into the upload area
After the file uploads successfully, click Import and let Kontentino do the rest.
After the import
Once the import is complete, review your calendar and post ideas to make sure everything looks correct.
If something didn’t import as expected, check the Common import issues section of this article for quick fixes.
📄 CSV file requirements
Your CSV file should include the following column headers:
Date
Time
Text
Column names should match exactly. Each row represents one post.
🧪 Sample CSV structure
Here’s a simple example of how your CSV file can look:
Date | Time | Text |
01/02/2026 | 09:00 | Launch post for new feature |
01.02.2026 | 14:30 | Customer testimonial draft |
2026.02.01 |
| Blog article promo |
|
| Evergreen content idea |
Each row represents one post. You can leave Date or Time empty, depending on how you want the post to be created.
🧠 How imported posts are created
Kontentino creates posts differently based on the data included in each row:
Date + Time + Text
→ A draft post is created and placed in the calendar on the selected date and time.
Date + Text (no Time)
→ A draft post is created on the selected date, without a time. You’ll need to set the time before scheduling.
Text only (no Date)
→ A post idea is created and added to the left sidebar, ready to be scheduled later.
⚠️ Common import issues
If something doesn’t import as expected, check the following:
Import Posts option is grayed out - if the option to Import posts from the Additional items menu is disabled, make sure you have selected a single social media profile in the Profile selector (not multiple profiles or a profile group)
Date format – Kontentino supports common formats such as:
01/02/202601.02.20262026.02.01
Column names – Make sure the headers are exactly Date, Time, and Text
Empty cells – Missing dates or times are allowed, but completely empty rows will be skipped
Time values – Times should be entered in a standard format (for example
09:00)Text-only limitation – Images and videos won’t be imported and must be added manually after
🖼️ Visuals and media
CSV imports currently support text-only content. Images and videos are not imported and need to be added manually after the import.
💡 Why this matters
CSV import saves you hours of manual work when moving content into Kontentino. Instead of copying posts one by one, you can upload everything at once and fine-tune dates, times, and visuals directly in the calendar.
