We are thrilled to announce the integration of Google Business Profile (formerly known as Google My Business) scheduling into Kontentino. With this exciting new feature, you now have the ability to create, collaborate on, approve, and directly schedule Updates, Events, and Offers to your Google Business Profile.
This comprehensive tutorial will guide you step-by-step through the process of scheduling posts to your Google Business Profile directly from Kontentino.
1. What is Google Business Profile?
By utilizing your Business Profile on Google Search and Maps, you can establish connections with both current and prospective customers. Through the use of posts, you have the opportunity to communicate directly with your audience and provide them with important updates and information.
Here are some advantages of utilizing your Business Profile:
Engage with local customers: Interact directly with customers in your local area, fostering a stronger connection with your community.
Enhance customer experience: Keep your customers informed with timely and relevant information, ensuring they have the most up-to-date details about your business.
Promote sales, events, and news: Use your Business Profile to showcase and promote your sales, special offers, upcoming events, and other noteworthy news.
Visual engagement: Engage your customers through captivating images, giving them a visual glimpse of your business offerings.
2. Connect your Google Business Profile
To connect your Google Business Profile, navigate to the Profile selector and click "Add profile." From the available options, select "Google" and proceed by signing in to your Google account. Grant Kontentino the necessary access permissions to your account. Next, choose the specific profile you wish to add and confirm your selection.
Make sure your Google Business Profile is verified in order to schedule your posts. Learn more about how to verify your account here.
3. What is an Update post, and how can you schedule it?
An Update post allows you to share important announcements and keep your customers informed about the latest news from your business. These posts can include various elements like images, descriptions, and even action buttons. For instance, you can create a post to link your newest blog article, share a customer success story, advertise an open position, or showcase your latest product.
To create an Update post, click on the "New post" button in your Calendar or the blue "New" button in the top right corner. The Update post is already preselected. Now, it's time to craft your post caption and add media content (only single-image posts are supported).
If desired, you can include a call-to-action (CTA) button and provide the corresponding link in the designated section below. Set up the scheduling time and click on the "Save button".
Collaborate on the post with your team or client right next to its preview, send the post for approval, and hit the "Schedule" button when you are ready. Kontentino will handle the rest, automatically publishing the Update to your Google Business Profile.
4. What is an Event post, and how can you schedule it?
Event posts provide a great way to promote your upcoming events, webinars, or conferences, ensuring maximum visibility among your followers. These posts can include images, descriptions, and a call-to-action (CTA) button.
❗ Event posts must include a title, a start date, and an end date.
To create an Event post, simply click on the "New post" button located in your Calendar or the blue "New" button in the top right corner.
Click on the "Event" button and start creating your post by adding text, media (only single-image posts are supported), and, if desired, a CTA button.
Set up the scheduling time and click on the “Save” button. Once your post is approved and ready, click the "Schedule" button. Kontentino will take care of the rest and publish the post on your Google Business Profile.
5. What is an Offer post, and how can you schedule it?
Offer posts enable you to showcase promotional sales, exclusive offers, and coupons, effectively attracting customers and boosting sales. These posts appear not only in the posts section but also at the top of your Google Business Profile on Google Search and Maps.
