Connecting your Facebook page to Kontentino lets you create, schedule, and automatically publish posts to your business pages.
If your posts stop publishing or you see an authorization error, it usually means Facebook permissions need to be refreshed.
This guide will walk you through how to connect a new Facebook page or fix an existing connection step by step - all in one place.
I'm new to Kontentino and would like to connect a Facebook page.
✅ Step 1: Make sure you manage your Facebook page
Before connecting your Facebook page in Kontentino, check that you have the right permissions.
You need full or partial access with content publishing rights.
To verify this:
Switch to the page’s profile → go to Settings → Page setup → Page access (make sure you're listed under People with Facebook access)
or check your access in the Meta Business Suite:
Log in to Meta Business Suite (business.facebook.com) using your personal Facebook account and select the correct business portfolio in the top left corner.
On the left sidebar, go to Settings → People. This shows all team members who have some level of access.
To see which Pages you can access, click on your name → check Business assets → then Pages.
Check that you have Full access (Admin access). If not, ask the page owner to edit your access to Full access.
🔗 Step 2: Add a Facebook profile in Kontentino
Once your role is confirmed, connect your Facebook page to Kontentino.
You can add a new profile from:
Calendar → open the Profile selector dropdown → click + Profile, or
The New button in the top right corner → Profile
Then:
Hover over Facebook in the pop-up window and click Continue
Log in to your Facebook account
In the Kontentino is requiring access window, click Edit access and make sure you have selected and granted permissions to all profiles you wish to manage in Kontentino (both Facebook and Instagram)
Select the business pages you want to connect and finish by clicking Add profile
This allows Kontentino to publish posts automatically on your behalf.

When to reauthorize your connection
Suppose your Facebook publishing suddenly stops working, or you cannot see the Facebook page you'd like to connect to Kontentino in the list of available profiles. In that case, you’ll likely need to reauthorize the connection.
Reauthorization simply refreshes the link between Facebook and Kontentino so we can continue publishing your content.
You might need to reauthorize when:
Your Facebook access token expires (Facebook requires this every 90 days)
Facebook updates their API
You’re trying to connect a new Facebook page that hasn’t been linked to Kontentino before, so its access needs to be newly authorized.
Step 1: Remove the old Kontentino integration from Facebook
To start fresh, remove the existing Kontentino integration:
Go to Facebook Business Integrations
(If you’re using the New Pages Experience, first switch from your page profile to your personal profile)Click your profile picture → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Your activity and permissions → Business integrations
Find Kontentino and click Remove
⚠️ Note: Removing the integration won’t delete any posts already scheduled or published - it only stops future publishing until you reconnect.
🔁 Step 2: Reconnect Facebook in Kontentino
After removing the Kontentino integration from Facebook, refresh your connection directly in Kontentino.
❗️Important: If you also manage Instagram profiles in Kontentino, you’ll need to refresh both your Facebook and Instagram authorizations after removing the Kontentino integration from Facebook.
Go to My Profile → Connections
Click Connect / Refresh next to Facebook (/Instagram)
In the Kontentino is requiring access window, click Edit access and make sure you have selected and granted permissions to all profiles you wish to manage in Kontentino (both Facebook and Instagram)
Click Continue as [YourName]
Select all Facebook pages you’d like to manage
Click Add profile
👀 Step 3: Verify your connected pages
Double-check that your selected pages appear correctly under your Kontentino profiles list.
You’re all set — your Facebook pages are connected and ready to publish again! 🎉
