How to Add a New Admin to Your Facebook Page

How to grant a new admin (full control) on a Facebook Page directly in Facebook.

Written by Chiara

Sometimes you'll need to give someone — like your agency or a teammate — admin access to your Facebook Page. This can be done directly on Facebook, no Meta Business Suite required. Here's the whole process, step by step.

  1. Switch into your Page. On Facebook, open the profile switcher (top-right corner) and switch into the Page you want to manage — or use the Switch / Switch Now prompt shown on the Page.

  2. Open Settings. Once you're in the Page, click Settings in the left-hand Manage Page menu.

  3. Go to Page setup → Page access. In Settings & privacy, open Page setup, then click Page access.

  4. Add the new admin. Under People with Facebook access, click Add New, enter the person, and give them full control — that's the whole ask on their side.

Note: "Full control" is what grants the admin role. If it's left off, the person won't have the access they need.

Once the new admin role is granted, you're ready to bring the page into a Business Portfolio — see Setting Up Meta Business Portfolio Access for Safe Connect.
